Cruelty Free Facial Mask Review

Andalou naturals is one of my favorite brands. The entire product line is vegan and it’s all quite affordable.

Today I tried out their Avo Cocoa Skin Food Mask.

Let me first say it looks and smells like chocolate frosting. DELICIOUS!!!!

The ingredients are so clean and natural. Aloe is the first ingredient and cacao is the third ingredient. Chocolate is an antioxidant and the skin absorbs these antioxidants when applied topically. There is also Shea butter, coconut oil, coenzyme Q10, and coffee extract. Coffee helps to stimulate circulation in the skin which can help with inflammation and dullness. This mask also has resveratrol which is another powerful antioxidant.

I am absolutely in love with these highly active and naturally derived ingredients.

This mask can be beneficial for all skin types, especially dry or sensitive skin.

My skin type is a combination of dry and oily. I applied this mask after doing a 20% salicylic peel (from a different brand which is also cruelty free but for professional use only – sorry guys). This intense peel usually leaves my skin very dry and irritated (but it clears away all acne instantly), so I knew it was the perfect time for me to use this delicious skin food chocolate mask. After rinsing this mask off my skin felt supremely hydrated and deeply nourished.

Simply apply a generous amount to the skin, and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. And try not to eat it.

You can purchase this product here. I saw it at a health food store for $15.

Let me know if you’ve tried this mask and how you liked it.
