Today I took my first Buti Yoga class! Buti is a type of yoga that incorporates plyometrics and tribal dance. Doesn’t it sound amazing? It is fast paced like power yoga but even more intense. Instead of holding down dog, we jumped on our toes while in down dog. Instead of holding goddess pose, we we danced with our arms and circled our hips in goddess pose. The music was loud and upbeat and the room was heated so I was sweating profusely and my heart rate was at 90% MHR.
Today was my first class but yesterday I signed up to get certified to teach Buti Yoga! Yes, I signed up before ever even taking a class. I had heard good things about Buti and it’s hard for me to pass up any yoga teacher training near me. So in exactly one month I will be learning how to put these Buti classes together. Buti combines yoga with other forms of fitness that I love. I love the intense cardio workout that plyometrics provide and I love to dance, it makes exercise even more fun!
